The following is an update from Monty Orlando, Project Superintendent with Grant Park Village. Please make note of the details he outlines and plan accordingly.

NE 32nd Ave has done it’s job carrying the heavy traffic loads over the years and during the past year for construction of the Grant Park Village project. The time has now come to remove the torn up road and replace it. In order to complete this work, 32nd Ave will need to be closed Monday September 29th starting at 12 noon, and remain closed through Saturday October 4th. (Actual asphalt paving of the road is scheduled on Saturday the 4th and is good-weather dependent). The road will re-open on Sunday October 5th (barring any weather delays).
It will be necessary to close the east entrance to the Fred Meyers’ parking lot. The detour route during this road closure for deliveries and the residences along NE Weidler will be NE 30th Ave. Altus Traffic Management will be conducting traffic flagging control during this week. We understand that this will cause some degree of inconvenience during this closure, but we are looking forward to getting this road re-paved and providing a smoother street for everyone’s use.
