Leaf Pick Up Day is December 16

Leaf pickup for Sullivan's Gulch is set for Friday, December 16. The charge this year will be $30 for participating homes (multifamily property greater than 4 units is $65).  Unfortunately the Opt Out deadline has passed for those planning to dispose of their leaves themselves (yard debris, landscape service or hauling to one of the city-run leaf depots).

Barricades reminding people not to park on-street in the neighborhood will be placed 1-2 days in advance. This year vehicles parked on street the day of the collection will be ticketed and may be towed. If you know neighbors that will be out of town on the 16th be sure to let them know to make arrangements to have their vehicles moved.

One bit of good news this year is that city has finally dropped the silly and widely-ignored admonishment that residents should not rake leaves from their yards into the street.

Because of the number of parked cars on the streets, Sullivan's Gulch (and NW Portland) have only a single pick up day. Details of the city leaf program for the Gulch can be found here.

In the meantime enjoy the beautiful fall colors while they last!
