- Welcome, identification of SGNA Board of Directors and introductions of neighbors and visitors.
- Featured Speaker - Ms. Sue Glenn, Manager, City of Portland Bureau of Parks and Recreation - we have a beautiful City and beautiful Parks, and with the upcoming Parks Replacement Bond (https://www.portlandoregon.gov/parks/65128), we all have a lot to consider. Ms. Glenn will bring us up to date and answer our questions.
- Portland Police representative, if present.
- NECN Announcements/Notices
- Approval of past meetings' minutes. unapproved minutes will be presented for a vote of approval by month.
- Finance Committee Report - Income and Expenses report, a report from NECN Treasurer training; also, a report on the required Department of Justice Charitable Activities section CR11 form for reporting to ensure that donations to public benefit non-profit corporations are not abused for purposes counter to the mission of the organization. Even if a Neighborhood association's revenue is small, registration and reporting with the DOJ is a state requirement; upcoming efforts to generate an annual budget and financial reports with the assistance of NECN.
- Land Use Transportation Committee (LUTC) - report of activities, including an account of the Committee's work with Nan Stark of BPS and the Map App at the August Committee meeting.
- Events Committee - A report on the National Night Out in Holladay Park and a look forward to Gulch-O-Rama & Special Fall Events.
- Safety & Livability Committee - NECN Safety and Livability Team (SALT ) is having a Pot Luck at NECN headquarters on August 18th, 6:30 - 8:30 PM.
- Communications Committee - progress and planning report, next steps.
- Principles Practices and Procedures: A review of PPP's to date; a discussion and considerations for formatting and preparation of a document to post and foster good communication to the neighbors on how the Board has agreed to work together, including a statement on written ballots. A print-out was handed out at the July meeting for the Board's review, and a motion will be put forth to accept this document as the latest version of the Board's agreements between each other.
