CORRECTION---Annual SGNA Clean Up May 11, 9am-1pm

Annual Sullivan’s Gulch Clean Up.

It's time to Recycle the things that can’t be put out at curbside. Clean out your basement, garage, or backyard and bring it down to our dumpsters at NE 17th & Wasco — behind Holladay Park Plaza, on May 11 from 9am -1pm.  A volunteer from the City’s Master Recycler program, Elna Otto, will be there to give us a presentation on "Tips to Reduce Your Garbage", (and garbage bill) at 11 am.

Because this is a fundraiser for SGNA, we are requesting donations of $10 per car and $15 per truck or van.  Smaller donations are welcomed for Walks ups or Bike-bys.

The special recyclables will be handling this year are:
  • ·      Electronic waste — old TVs, computer monitors, computers, modems, radios, boomboxes
  • ·      Block Styrofoam — clean; NO packing peanuts
  • ·      Metal & appliances — old lawn furniture
  • ·      Fluorescent lamps — tubular and compact fluorescent
  • ·      Batteries — flashlight, camera, automotive, etc.
  • ·      Tires — auto tires
  • NO paint, pesticide, or hazardeous waste of any kind.  Please take those items directly to the Metro Transfer station, 6161 NW 61st Ave, Portland, OR 97210.

We still want volunteers for this event.  If you have time to share, contact Dave Brook directly at             503-313-1320 dbrookportland@gmail.com.  Coffee and snacks provided for volunteers.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The Annual SGNA Clean Up is made possible by support from Metro, the City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, and NE Coalition of Neighborhoods
