NE Broadway Summer Super Sale Offers Great Deals, Great Music, Local Food & Drink and More Street Fair Fun


The NE Broadway Summer Super Sale offers Great Deals, Great Music, and plenty of Street Fair Fun on Friday July 15 through Sunday July 17. Participating businesses will have great merchandise and bargains up to 75% off, with sidewalk sale tables spilling over and more killer deals inside the shops. Add two music stages, lots of kids activities and much more, and it means plenty of fun for everyone.

The action begins Friday with deals all day, then great blues music from the Kunckleheads and Monti Amundson at our kick-off party; picks up steam Saturday with Lloyd Jones, Big Monti and more bands at another music stage, four event areas full of kids fun, wellness vendors, a pet fair, beer & wine garden and food vendors – and great sales; then finishes Sunday with more deals, music and the festive Irvington Farmer’s Market. Free transportation will move shoppers easily up and down the entire street. Plus NE Broadway restaurants will be open late with specials and super treats all night to keep the fun rolling along.


Friday, July 15

Kickoff Party, Helen Bernhard Bakery (NE Broadway at 17th) 
5:00-8:00pm
Our Friday party features local blues legends the Knuckleheads and Monti Amundson staged in the parking lot at Helen Bernhard Bakery at 17th Ave. NE Broadway vendors will be there to provide beer, wine and food. We’ll even have fire jugglers. The party starts just after work at 5:00pm, so come enjoy a great summer evening!

Music Schedule:
5-6pm – Monti Amundson (blues/rock)
6-7:30pm – The Knuckleheads w/Satellite Malone (blues)

Saturday, July 16th

16th Ave. Block Party (Between NE Broadway & Weidler)
11:00am – 7:00pm
We’re closing 16th Ave. for a music stage featuring high energy bluesmen Lloyd Jones and Big Monti, plus more great bands. There will be a beer & wine garden, several food stalls and the Umpqua Bank ice cream truck. Local vendors and community groups will offer cool stuff and other great information. An excellent spot to take a break in-between your shopping spree!

Family Fun Zone, 12th Ave. (Near Newport Seafood Grill) 11:00am-3:00pm
A fun-filled kids play zone with music, food, games, vendors, face painting and jugglers. Entertainment for all ages!

Pet Fair, 19th Avenue at Furever pets
11:00am – 3:00pm
19th Ave. shuts down for events that will entertain you and your pets with local vendors, treats and non-profits. Furever pets presents an array of providers including RuffWear and Stam dog treats. Non-profit community groups such as Animal Rescue & Care, Animal Aid, Fences for Fido, Greyhound Pet Adoption, House of Dreams, and the Oregon Humane Society will also be on hand, along with a trainer from Wonder Puppy and pet-oriented games

Wellness Fair, 21st Ave. (At 2100 Building parking lot)
11:00am – 4:00pm
A great collection of professional service providers will be on hand to help with your health and wellness needs. Hallmark Opticians’ Dr. Jannell Cuddy will answer questions about eye health and exams, plus you can get answers about insurance and products. Anyone who stops by will receive an exam special too; Legacy Health System will display their robot; GreenField Health will have free health info and blood pressure checks; Lloyd Athletic Club and Northwest Women's Fitness Club & Northwest Personal Training will showcase great exercise and fitness programs; Zama Massage has chair & self release massages, plus Chinese tongue and pulse diagnosis, and the fantastic Piezo stimulator – acupuncture without needles. Asha Integrative Wellness will offer chair massages, mini acupuncture treatments, a raffle and free gifts.


Sunday, July 17th

Irvington Farmer’s Market (16th Ave. bet. NE Broadway & Weidler)
10:30am – 2:30pm
The Irvington Farmer’s Market brings fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, cheeses, gourmet delights and prepared foods, great hot food to eat, plus music & more fun.

The Summer Super Sale Continues on NE Broadway
11:00am – 5:00pm
Sunday’s activities feature musicians along Broadway and of course more super sales all along the street.
