We have a full and interesting agenda for the Spring SGNA Neigbhborhood meeting this Thursday, May 19 from 7 to 9 pm. It will be held in the Penthouse of Holladay Park Plaza, 1300 NE 16th Ave.
The two main topics will be a presentation by Fred Meyer describing the remodeling and small expansion of their Hollywood West store - a maintain for Gulchers. They will have drawings and pictures and will be glad to answer our questions.
Also on the agenda is a historical presentation about Albina Mural Project by Joanne Oleksiak. She will show a short video and have photos of some of the historical murals from 1978 that used to be in the area. We hope to have one of the original painters to talk about the murals, as well.
In addition, there will be a short review of crime in our neighborhood from our neighborhood liaison at the Police Bureau, as well as reports from the various SGNA committee - Land Use, Lifestyles (update on Gulch A Rama), and Gulch Trail info.
Finally, we will nominate and vote on new representatives to the SGNA Board of Directors. If you're interested in getting involved be sure to come of the meeting or let SGNA Chair Craig Nyschins know of your interest.
If you haven't seen the view from the "top of the neighborhood" 12th floor of Holladay Park Plaza, you'll want to come a few minutes early.
