Big Brothers/ Big Sisters Needs our Help!

Hey Gulchers. Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization of Portland really needs our help. At this time Big Bros./Big Sis. find themselves with many, many more Little Brothers and Little Sisters in NE PDX than adult mentors for them. Therefore they are offering BIG opportunities for Gulchers from all walks of life. As a Big Brother/Big Sisters volunteer, you'll bring a treasured friendship to a child in Portland. Being a Big Brother, Big Sister means developing a friendship and sharing the best part of yourself. It's about doing simple activities that become hallmark moments in a child's life: Perhaps an afternoon at a ball game, a visit to the library or a museum, or even just accompanying you as you run errands. Not only can you be there when these moments occur, but you can be the reason behind the wide eyes and smile!

Big Brothers Big Sisters works to help boys and girls achieve their potential through positive adult relationships. A volunteer does not need any special skills to be a Big Brother or Big Sister. They only need to be interested in sharing their time with a child. Just by sharing experiences, celebrating accomplishments, and listening to their concerns, a Big Brother or Big Sister can make a huge difference to a child.
